Gabriel Forrester, a Canadian cartoonist and post impressionist-abstract expressionist painter working out of
Ottawa, On.

“GAYBOB” his alter ego is a regular cartoon contributor to LFP publishing’s HUSTLER HUMOR Magazine, an oft rejected-aspiring cartoonist for The New Yorker and the creator-writer-artist of the comic strip ROAD KILL.

Gabriel has been painting for over 20 years, displays in multiple venues locally, and has shown across Canada as well as New York City. He is one of 15 winners of NEWAD’s 2018 Art Here contest. New pieces will be shown at The Manx Pub, Chez Lucien and the Atomic Rooster in July, August and September of 2024 respectively.

In 2013 Gabriel and Gaybob wrote, directed, starred in and community produced “Empty Canvas”, a six episode zany art tutorial television program (that only his grandmother watched), for Rogers community television, with some guy named Todd. Todd proved to be the more talented one in the production 😕.

Gabriel is also the art curator at chez Lucien in the Byward market.
